Laser Macro - The Power of Light
Many production processes are only possible with high-power laser welding and cutting tools. Thanks to their ability to operate in multiple axes, generate clean cut edges, and robust welding seams, high-power lasers have been established as important tools for sheet metal processing as well as in many other industries. The advantages of laser technology have opened up new and effective production processes: sheet metals of various thicknesses and material are welded as tailored blanks and laser welding has replaced resistance spot welding. These new manufacturing methods have only been made possible with the use of lasers.
ROFIN Macro delivers a wide range of CO2 lasers from sealed-off products up to high-power lasers. Heading the list are extremely low maintenance, diffusion-cooled CO2 Slab lasers up to 8 kW. Diode-pumped solid-state lasers with rod, disc or fiber geometry are used to advantage wherever flexible beam guidance via optical fibers is required. The high-brightness fiber lasers of the ROFIN FL Series are the ideal addition of the technology portfolio currently offered by ROFIN. Complementing the product range are compact and maintenance free high-power direct diode lasers for heat conduction welding, surface treatment, and soldering.
